PREVIEW ITEMS FOR SALE
We have over a hundred items for sale including 'freebie' bins (free items). The items listed by sellers are only partial lists !....there will be a lot more previously owned and NWOT (new without tags) goodies displayed at the Sidewalk Sale. PLEASE NOTE ITEMS AND SELLERS ARE ADDED FREQUENTLY UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE THE SALE - CHECK BACK REGULARLY FOR UPDATES. CLICK NAMES TO VIEW ITEMS.
SIDEWALK SALE INFORMATION
Sidewalk sales are scheduled for the 3rd week in May and October on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am - 3pm. Rain dates to be announced.
Table rental is $25 - $35 per table. Fee includes morning snack, lunch and advertisement. Equipment is additional. Participates must make payment arrangement by cash and in advance to secure a table. Availability is limited. Should seller need to cancel a reservation, please contact coordinator at least 24hours in advance. If a reserved table remains unclaimed by 12pm the day of event, the table will be released to rent and no refund will be issued.
Tables are 6' x 30" each and 8' x 30". Tablecloths and plastic bags are provided. Clothing racks and canopies for shade are limited and offered on first come basis, one per table. Please make sure to indicate if any of these are required during Reservation Confirmation. Note :Chairs and display items are not supplied.
Sellers can begin prepping their table at 7:30am Saturday in front of the building. Table placement may be requested but not guaranteed.
Please ensure contact information is up to date during sign up. Once payment is received and processed, a Reservation Confirmation email will be sent confirming table rental. Email will provide a link to the form where electrical outlets, clothing racks, canopy umbrellas and table location can be requested. Additionally, the link will allow sellers to select refreshments for their table. Equipment and food selections must be submitted by the specified deadline since items are ordered in advance for this event. Late requests may not be accepted or may be charged a $10 processing fee. All furniture and bulky items must be listed/ advised in Reservation Confirmation in order to sell at this event.
Ads of this event will be listed on Yardsalesearch.com, NJ.com, Craigslist and possibly printed in Jersey Journal or Hudson Reporter. Event flyer is available to download above and circulate via Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, and other social networks. Where permissible, please post flyer at schools and churches, buildings, shops and social places in the community. Posters and flyers in the neighborhood will help promote the event. Do not hesitate to invite family, friends and neighbors to come as well.
Sellers receive six (6) months of online advertising of sidewalk sale items. Upon request, an online page can be created listing items for sale and / or photos uploaded to seller's page. An online page can allow potential buyers direct contact with seller to assist in post Sidewalk Sale transactions.
- Stickers for pricing and labelling
- Markers, pens, masking tape
- Cash box
- Cash denominations : get lots of bills- (25) $1 - (10) $5 - (5)$10 and rolls of quarters , dimes, nickels
- Newspaper to wrap fragile / breakable items
- Price everything and place prices in visible location. No time to price individual items ? Create a sign grouping items together, '$5 bin', 'any item for $5', '.99 table', '5 for $20'
- Wipe down dusty items before displaying them
- Cord/strip to plug electrical items available upon request. If items require batteries, consider bringing old batteries to show the working condition.
- Post a sign on table 'ALL SALES FINAL'
- ALL FURNITURE AND BULKY ITEMS MUST BE APPROVED TO SELL PRIOR TO SETUP. PLEASE LIST ITEMS IN RESERVATION CONFIRMATION
